What is the Best Mascara?

By best mascara, we mean mascara that is appropriate for you, that will make you look more beautiful, and that matches your skin tone and hair color. The difficulty with mascara though is that many women are intimidated by it. These women may find it embarrassing to admit that they do not know how to select mascara that suits them – which is why many women tend to stick to one neutral shade for years.

When selecting the best mascara, it is important to look at yourself in the mirror first and examine the color of your skin. Are you pale-skinned, a true Caucasian? Or are you Asian, with creamy brown skin? Some women have African blood so they tend to be dark skinned, though some also have brown skin. Every skin tone has mascara that is suitable for use with it.

The best mascara for a blonde who wants evening make up is very dark mascara because this makes her eyes look bigger. But for other occasions, blonde women may want to use dark brown mascara instead. A blonde who has light eyes should choose mascara that displays lighter tones rather than dark colors. Dark colors will make your face look harsher.

Women who have fair skin but hazel eyes plus dark brown hair may opt to use soft black mascara or soft brown mascara. These colors allow the mascara to make your facial contours look softer.

The best mascara for you may be smudge proof mascara because it allows you to wear mascara with confidence. You need not worry that an accidental brush with your hand will smear the mascara across your face. However, if you find it a bother to remove smudge proof mascara, this may not be the best mascara to use. Some women find water-soluble mascara to be a godsend because they need not exert so much effort to remove the make up at the end of the occasion. Water-soluble mascara is also good because you need not rub your eyelids so much, meaning you are less likely to harm your eyelids.

Cheap mascara is definitely not the best mascara to use because it tends to run. It might also have been made in unhygienic conditions which would explain the low price you paid. If so, you run the risk of getting an eye infection if you use cheap mascara. There are probably mascara out there priced in the middle range that would be the best mascara to use.

When you apply mascara, try to use less coats. In this case, less is definitely more because using more coats may cause the mascara to look clumpy on your eyelashes. It is also a waste to apply many coats when a few well-applied ones will do. You should also learn how to apply mascara that will match your other cosmetic items, such as foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner and blush on. It would be a mistake to simply concentrate on finding the best mascara without putting attention on the other facial products that you need.
